Nonfiction- How Plants Survive

The book, How Plants Survive by Kathleen V. Kudlinski, describes plants struggle to survive. I really like how the book is formatted and would definitely recommend it as supplemental reading. The book has a table of contents and each section is clearly marked. There is a glossary at the end of the book, and each term is boldly defined throughout the reading. There are pictures of plants on each page. My favorite aspect of this book is that beside each picture are useful hints and thought provoking questions. I feel that these questions are very helpful in expanding students’ thoughts.
